My Red Carpet Outfit
A month ago, I was invited to be on the red carpet at the Montreal black film festival. It was a fun experience and an amazing day with the girls! and wow! It’s incredible the time you need to be red carpet ready! So, my blogger friends and I did the full glam experience with Annie Young Boutique Spa.
For the outfit, we collaborated with La Petite Robe Noire, a dress rental boutique. We went to their boutique and picked a dress for the event. In my case, I opted for a black jumpsuit. I really liked the masculine vibe and thought it would be nice to switch up and wear pants on a red carpet! We also matched our outfits and did the all-black look!

Getting ready for the red carpet
Now, the fun part! The next day (day of the event), we all met at Annie Young Boutique Spa in Victoria Park and started the full glam preparation. I got my hair done first, and it was the lovely @emilyhannah.hairstylist who did my hairdo! I gave her carte blanche since I always do the same hairstyle every day and it was now the time to let loose a little! Well, she created a bobby pins hairstyle! It was such a cool surprise, so trendy! I loved it!
Next, I sat on @derek.paul.artistry ‘s chair! He’s so sweet and I loved his work! Again, I also let Derek do whatever he wanted with my face! I rarely do a smokey eye (I’m not great at it, I really need to practice more!) so he gave me a brown smokey eye with a pop of lavender! And to complete my look, he applied Annie Young lipstick in G-String on my lips. It’s a beautiful shimmery nude lipstick!
Honestly, they’re the best! The girls and I had an amazing time getting pampered! The team was so nice, attentive and talented! The service was amazing, it’s a beautiful spa with so many services. I would definitely come back if I need to get my makeup and hair done for another event!
