If you’re like me and you enjoy a healthy smoothie in the morning, you know that sometimes we can get bored of sipping the same smoothie every single morning so I like to switch it up and I thought mixing cherries and chocolate would taste a-maaa-ziing with some superfoods and protein powder. Yes, it’s dark and not a beautiful green smoothie, but it’s like a healthy smoothie that tastes like dessert!
Cherry Chocolate Protein Smoothie
- 1 handful spinach
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp agave (or maple syrup)
- 1/2 tsp chlorella powder
- 1/2 tsp spirulina
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp protein powder (I use pea protein or Vega)
- 1 cup frozen cherries
Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend!
*If you don’t have a high speed blender, a good tip is to blend the almond milk with the spinach first and then add the rest of the ingredients.
