A week ago, my blogger friends and I, were on our way to New York City to experience NYFW for the first time! It was an amazing surprise for me since I’ve never planned to go to NYFW this year. (I thought I “wasn’t there” yet) But as a group of bloggers, it felt less intimidating so I said yes to the opportunity and I’m glad I did!
What to expect
We planned to go for 3 days. It was short, but we came back exhausted so I can’t imagine going for the whole week! The day starts at 7am and you go to bed at midnight.
The first day was the toughest, we were up at 4 am and only slept an hour and basically went to bed at midnight the same day. Plus, you don’t really eat properly so put 4 girls in a small Air Bnb, tired AF and hangry and you get drama! That’s the less fun part of the trip.
The fun part was to be in New York (a second time for me this summer!) during NYFW, to plan the outfits for the weekend, attend fashion shows, having photographers taking pictures of you, walk (and uber) around NYC, shoot a lot of content, switch outfits during the day, playing the photographer for your blogger friends (I really enjoyed taking their pictures, I discovered a new passion: being an Instagram husband!) and eat vegan food! Watch the Vlog down below to get a sneak peek of our weekend!
I came back to Montreal with a 12 pack of La Croix (I tried the berry flavor!), two super full grocery bags from Trader Joe’s (I’m addicted to the everything but bagel seasoning now!), deeper friendships and experience!
I definitely know what to do and what not to do for the next time! Check out my friend’s Nicole, My Main Style, blog post about her tips & tricks.
Here are my looks for Day 1, stay tuned for my looks of Day 2 & 3 tomorrow!
What we ate
We stopped by Sweets by Chloé and By Chloé the minute we got out of our Uber (we were starving). I got a bunch of sweets and then went to go eat the mac n’ cheese next door (so good! A must try!). And I also discovered this vegan restaurant in Times square, P.S Kitchen. I ordered a salad and Buffalo maitake wings and treated myself with a glass of Prosecco!
