The holidays can be really stressful with all the gifts to buy, holiday parties to go to, having guests over, buying your holiday outfits, family dinner, New year’s eve plans, planning the new year…It all just piles up on top of your already busy daily schedule and sometimes we don’t take the time to stop and appreciate the crazy holiday season. Here are some tips to make the most of it:
1.Plan ahead of time
I schedule everything in my agenda, I plan my outfits (seriously, it’s a huge time saver. Try it out) and whenever I’m hosting a dinner at my place, I make a list of what I’m going to make and what ingredients to buy,…
2. Make a budget for everything
So you won’t be too stressed in January when you get your credit card bills. Eeek!
3. Shop and buy your gifts early
I wrote about this in the last post, but it’s better to get it done and out of the way as early as possible. Since Christmas is in two days, it’s not really relevant anymore, but take note for next year!
4.Take the opportunity to do stuff you never have time to do
Our fast-paced lifestyle usually slows down during holidays, so take that time to do stuff you never have time to do like reading a book, completing something on your to-do list, doing a vision board, playing a puzzle or board games, baking a cake, anything really!
5. Spend quality time with your family (and friends!)
What matters most to me is my family and friends, so spending some quality time with them, especially my family, is how I like to make the most of the holidays. I don’t see my family very often so I always look forward to seeing them this time of year.
Happy Holidays! And Merry Christmas!
