Valentine’s day is next week and this year, I decided to post a date night outfit for the occasion. As I was styling this look, I came out with this idea of creating a chic version and a casual version and using the same skirt. This Vero Moda skirt is the centerpiece of both looks. Date Night: The Editorial (which features the chic version) is coming this Friday so stay tuned!

This outfit is perfect for a girl’s night on Galentine’s day! Or it could be a good choice if you’re going on a date with the boyfriend/person you’re seeing/husband and you opted for a more casual spot.

The skirt is attracting all the attention because of its color but also its fabric so I wanted to keep it simple for the top. You can’t go wrong with a white t-shirt! I don’t know why but there’s something cool about a girl wearing a white t-shirt.. Even though it’s a simple look, adding the baker boy hat brings this outfit to the trendy level. Just enough but not too much trendy kind of level. To finish the outfit, I added my Five and two Jewelry necklaces and of course, black tights. We’re in Canada, winter is intense and bare legs in -20 C weather isn’t realistic. This is a real Canadian date night outfit people, you need tights!

I was fine in a t-shirt but if you’re like me and live in three layers of sweaters at all time, a denim jacket or a blazer would be great with this look. At least, you can remove it if you’re not too cold. There’s nothing more devastating during a date night than feeling cold the whole evening!

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention one more accessory: a glass of wine. A date night outfit isn’t complete without a glass of wine!
